Blog No. 4

Murphy and the Sureflap catflap.

Hi and welcome back. You know, the only thing I look forward to in the morning is my walk in the forest and my favourite pastime of chasing the ball and bringing it back so that I can chase after it again. That’s what’s I call fun. But now that’s all been ruined because of that attention-seeking Tonkinese cat Murphy who has now decided to follow us and join in the walk. I don’t actually mind him following but when we get to the field where all the fun start he doesn’t hide in the bushes like any normal cat but sits in the middle of the grass where every crazy Labrador and retriever (and there’s lots round here believe me) can see him. Hence ‘attention-seeking’. So of course the cat is chased up trees and starts yowling like only a Tonkinese can do which is when my owners decide to cut my morning walk short and take him back home. They really don’t understand the pecking order of animals. Dogs first! Cats second! OK?! But I have a cunning plan. Recently I heard my owners talking in the shop and apparently there is a new cat flap which has just arrived which reads the ID chip the vet places in the neck of the cat so none of the other moggies (or foxes) can get in. No magnets, no special tags. Brilliant.

Now I’ve seen my owners operate it in the shop and soon as they get one installed at the house, I‘m going to lock Murphy in while I go for my morning walk, and back to chasing my ball. Ahhh, I never get bored with my ball, mmmm. So the Sureflap cat flaps are now on sale and are so simple to operate. They will soon be on our website, but you can order them directly today from the shop at 020 8891 0082.

Also we’ve got a new range of pet carriers from the ultra chic Bobby Company in Paris called Kangeroo Karriers, perfect for the smaller dog. Extremely lightweight, they come in several designs and colours.

And a new set of designer pet bowls from Bobby in Brilliant Red, Powder Pink and Fabulous Matt Black. They really are extremely high quality and are stylish, practical and cool.

Plus a new range of comfy-grip leads from Linky in a beautiful range of colours with a built in shock absorber near the grip that takes the strain off dogs that keep pulling on the lead. Oh and last but not least, due to public demand we are introducing an organic range of cat and dog food to our shop called Lily’s Kitchen.

Now I’ve sampled this food already and it is certainly the tastiest food I’ve ever eaten. It reminds me of when I was a pup and my mistress used to make-up fresh food in the kitchen just for me. It’s delicious. Really you got to taste it.

Well that’s it for this month. If there is anything you'd like us to stock or any questions you'd like answered please email me at: blue@absolute-pets.co.uk or hit the 'Add A Comment' box below and send me a message. Drop in again soon and I’ll tell you of the latest pet gadgets we’ll be getting in for Christmas. Woof! Blue.

Re: Blog No. 4

Dear Mr Blue

Your blog is great.  It keeps my mum up to date on all new goodies.

I am a 5 month old siamese kitten and i am a fussy eater.  Please can you assist with a little dilema I have - why do they only do 2 types of flavour for kitten food (chicken or fish fish or chicken) there is no variety and i am getting bored eating the same thing day in day out.  The pet shops round here do not cater for my needs - everything has to be ordered (which takes time), I could starve by then......

Please can you tell me more about Lil's Kitchen food so that I can get my mum to get me something more yummy.  Your owners shop does the best selection of food.  I love Burn's kitten dry food but my owner can only get that from your owners shop so I have to make do at the moment with Go Cat - I mean please.  What does my mum think she is doing.

Hope you can help

Molly from Middx
